Over 7,000 individuals are released from Alabama's prison and court systems each year.

* Once released, these individuals are very likely to commit other crimes--creating more victims--UNLESS we get involved

* We MUST assist them in becoming productive citizens in their target communities--OUR communities.

* Our churches and other community-based groups are KEY to helping us build and maintain SAFE and HEALTHY communities.

Governor Riley's Plan 2010 calls for engaging more faith and community-based activities to help relieve prison overcrowding and reduce recidivism rates.  The CPR Network seeks to meet those objectives.

The CPR Advisory Council is being established to develop vision and strategy for engaging community groups in a collaborative and sustainable way to support previously incarcerated citizens efforts to become productive members of our communities.
You have been asked to become a member of the CPR Advisory Council based on your experience, leadership and expertise.

You are invited to attend a brief teleconference
about the CPR Advisory Council.  This phone session will provide you with information on the role and responsibilities of council members and meeting schedule.    You can then make a more informed decision about your participation. If you agree to become a CPR Advisory Council member,  please attend our kickoff session.
